Bring
It, Region 5's U14 girls soccer team wrapped up its spring
season this past weekend with a second place finish
at the Ken Aston Cup in Temecula. Playing in their
40th game of the season Bring It fell to Diamond Bar
in the championship game 1-0 on a penalty kick goal in the second half.
Bring It finished the season with an impressive 23-9-8 overall record
which included an amazing 22 shutouts. They captured
three 2nd place and four 3rd place finishes. Click

Region
5's U14 girls team, Bring It, took third place
at the Irvine Memorial Classic this past Memorial Day
weekend. Bring It was participating in the club tournament and defeated
the Poway Vaqueros 1-0 and tied the eventual tournament champions, South
Bay United 1-1. In the third place game Lauren Brose
scored the only goal of the game just seconds before the referee ended
the game as Region 5 defeated the Rancho Santa Margarita

Pumaz,
a U14 girls team form Region 5 captured first place
at the Area K Tournament this past weekend, May 20
& 21 by defeating Lake Forest 2-1 in the Championship game on Sunday
night. The team allowed only one goal during the two day tournament.

Several
Region 5 teams finished up the Area K
spring season with some hardware; In the U12 Boys division
Region 5 took first place after going 7-1 on the season. The U14
boys team came in second on a point per game average after
finishing the season 5-1-1. Bring
It came in third place in the U14 girls division going
6-1-1 and allowed only one goal on the season. In the U19 girls
division that played with Area Q, Bonesaw came in third
place with a 6-2 mark while RazzMaTazz
finished up their third consecutive undefeated spring season going 7-0-1
to take first place. RazzMaTazz now has a 25-0-5 overall
record during spring league play.

Our U12
Boys All-star team will be competing in the Section 11 Championships
this weekend, Feb. 18 & 19, 2006 at U.C.I. Their first game
will be at 9:30 am on Saturday, Feb. 18 on field 5. Click

Congratulations
to the U12 boys Gold All-star team who defeated Long Beach, Region
177, 1-0 on Sunday, Jan. 22 to take the Area K All-star Championship.

The team now moves on to the Section 11 Championships on Feb.
18 & 19 at UCI. Also a job well done to the U14 girls All-star
team who finished in third place at the Area K All-star playoffs
just one point out of second place and a chance to play in the championship

Two
more Region Championships were awarded over the weekend. Chaos
defeated Grapes of Wrath, 1-0, on Saturday in the under 12 girls
division and Assassins took care of Dynamite, 5-1, in
the under 12 boys championship game. Good luck to all teams playing
in the Area K Championships this weekend,
Dec. 10-11.
Region
playoff games are set for Saturday, Dec. 3. In U12 boys
Dynamite and Assassins will square off once again this
time at noon on the Cox Elementary soccer field to determine the region
champs. The two teams had a playoff game on Tuesday night, Nov. 29 at
Mile Square Park to see who would win the second half season. The two
team had tied twice during the regular season and once again tied in
the game on Tuesday, after the overtime period could not decide the
winner it went to a shoot out where the Assassins prevailed 3-2
after each team had taken six kicks from the mark. The U12 girls will
decide their region champs at 10:30am also at Cox with a game between
the Grapes of Wrath and Chaos.
The U12
girls PLUS team Total Chaos took second place at the "Surf
City Open" over the Thanksgiving weekend holiday. Click

Congratulations
to the fall 2005 Region 5 Champions; In the Under 10 girls division
Mean Green won both the first half and second half seasons to
claim the region championship. Under 10 boys was taken by the Red
Raptors who went through the season undefeated. Under 12 girls will
be decided in a playoff game on December 3 between the Grapes of
Wrath who won the first half season and Chaos who finished
first in the second half of the season. Dynamite won the first
half season for the Under 12 boys and finished tied with the Assassins
for the second half season. Those two teams will have a playoff game
on Nov. 29 to see who wins the second half season. Should the Assassins
win they will play Dynamite again on Dec. 3 to determine the region
champ. Girlz went undefeated on
the year to take home the Under 14 girls championship while the Peppy
Turtles captured the boys under 14 title. In Under 19 girls RazzMatazz
finished ahead of the two other region 5 teams in the Area K regular
season standings and made it all the way to the Area K championship
game before falling to the eventual Section 11 champs Santa Ana.
No teams
may use the Mile Square Park field prior to 4:30pm on Thursday,
November 17th, 2005. This is due to the Fire Department conducting
exercises in the parking lots.
Region
5 yearbooks are being distributed to the division directors and
they will be passing them out to the teams. This year every player
in Region 5 will receive a yearbook. Additional copies are available

picture day will be held on Saturday, Nov. 5 at 8:30am SHARP!
.Anyone that wishes to retake his or her picture due to photographer
error, or simply missed the photo day event can show-up for a re-take.
Pictures are taken on a first come first serve basis. The photographer
will be there on time. Please show up on time, bring your favorite ball,
and wear your team uniform. We anticipate to be packed and gone by
8:50am.
